Haiti’s Earthquake

I believe that this earthquake was a sign that we need to be ready for anything. Not just against terrorists and other countries, but also against mother nature. I believe that all the countries that are helping aid Haiti are doing a great job. They have recieved tons of medicine, food and other supplies to help them recover. Although, their infastructure will take a long time to rebuild, just like with hurricane Katrina and New Orleans. The magnitude was a 7.0 and caused lots of destruction. This makes me wonder what will happen to us when scientists are predicting a 9.0+ magnitude earthquake right here in California. They predict that it will occur in 2011, but most say that it has over a 60% chance of happening at any time in the next 20 years. This huge earthquake occurs every 150years or so and evidence has been found to support this claim. I just hope when it happens, we will recieve the same relief that other natural disasters recieved.
